Hours
The recycling center is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00am - 12:00 noon.
Location
The Center is located at the City's Transfer Station at 260 Middletown Avenue. To reach the Transfer Station from downtown New Haven, take I-91 North to Exit 8. Turn left at the end of the exit. From State Street, take a right off Ferry Street, then a left onto Middletown Avenue. The Transfer Station will be located a half mile on the left.

- New Haven IKEA Accepts expired, unbroken CFLs at their store's recycling center.
- Home Depot Accepts expired, unbroken CFLs at any of their stores.
Disposing of & Recycling Batteries
- HazWaste Central Behind the Regional Water Authority's headquarters, 90 Sargent Drive, New Haven. Takes ALL batteries.
- Call2Recycle Takes rechargeable batteries and cell phones back at any of their participating drop off centers.
- Battery Recycling Sells recycling kit ($35+) for batteries including a prepaid return shipping label.
