Reusing items is one of the best ways to reduce waste and environmental impact. 

• You can donate items that you no longer need or request items you are looking for through our Reuse Program.  Yale Recycling keeps a running list of who is looking for what and attempts to match donors with receivers as much as possible.

• Check CT Material Trader for available items from Yale and other CT non-profits.

• Remeber Nike's Reuse-A-Shoe program when it is time to turn in your old sneakers.

• Students can also use the Eli Exchange in their residential colleges to swap items.

• In the fall watch for the winter apparel drive sponsored by the Office of International Students & Scholars.  You can donate your gently used coats, sweaters, mittens, etc.
